Police detain suspect behind officer’s killing in Moscow subway

A man suspected in the fatal shooting of a police officer at the Kurskaya station of the Moscow Metro has been detained, Interior Ministry spokeswoman Irina Volk said. The perpetrator opened fire on the police officer around midnight on Sunday. The victim later succumbed to his wounds. Police described the suspect as a man in his 40s of Asian or North Caucasus appearance, wearing blue jeans, a grey jacket and grey cap.
