Italian medics say number of injured in Bologna crash rises to 145
Medics in the Italian city of Bologna on Tuesday specified the number of injured on a motorway when a tanker truck exploded the previous day. They said the number of those injured had increased to 145, compared to previously reported 84 people. About 100 people were hospitalized, while the rest were slightly injured. The death toll from the motorway accident was revised down to one person from two as originally reported, Reuters said Tuesday. The tanker, which contained inflammable materials, slammed on Monday into the back of another lorry which had come to a halt because of heavy traffic near Bologna airport.
