New dramatic footage: Moment of Reno plane crash
Published 22 Sep, 2011 11:37 | Updated 22 Sep, 2011 19:31A new eyewitness video has emerged of last week's crash at an air show in Reno, Nevada, which took the lives of at least 11 people and injured 70.
The unexplained crash of the World War II-era fighter plane also took the life of 74-year-old stunt pilot James Leeward. The machine dived into a crowd during the nation's premier aviation competition on September, 16. Pieces of the plane flew through the crowd, severing limbs and severely injuring many people.
