Russian PM checking out Russia’s space prospects

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin has been checking out the country's latest space plans and developments at Star City’s cosmonaut training center just outside Moscow.

He examined the center’s sophisticated training equipment and a mock-up of Russia's part of the ISS.

Putin met with cosmonauts who have been to the space station.

The Prime Minister also opened a scientific conference at the training centre, where he spoke about the country’s satellite navigation system, GLONASS.

The system is expected to be available to all users across the world by the end of this year.
