Police vacuum-clean suspected drug courier of 1kg of meth

Vaccuum cleaner helps collect evidence
Police in St Petersburg had to resort to the aid of a vacuum cleaner to collect evidence in the form of a kilogram of methamphetamine, after a suspect allegedly tried to get rid of the drug.

The 22-year-old had been under surveillance for some time. Police say they detained him after he collected a package containing drugs from a hiding place.

The suspect tried to escape in his car and dropped the incriminating goods. But he accidentally tore the package, spilling the contents all over himself and the car’s interior, the police report says.

The officers had no better way to collect the meth than by using a vacuum cleaner. They managed to gather about a kilogram of the illegal stimulant.

The suspect was arrested.
