Mine blast claims 74 in China

At least 74 people have been killed after a gas explosion at a coal mine in northern china.

Around 400 miners were thought to be underground when the accident happened.

The rescue operation is over after the remaining workers were brought to the surface.

China's mining industry is believed to be the world's most dangerous, with over 300 deaths in 2008 only.
