Christmas beard: Facial hair fashion taken to extreme by US artist (PHOTOS)
Marble, bronze, plastic – sculptors have opted for different materials over the ages, but an American artist known as ‘Incredibeard’ on the internet, has taken it a step further using facial hair to create his masterpieces.

Isaiah Webb, who hasn’t shaved his face for the last 16 year, has been creating sculptures with his beard since 2012.

For Christmas, the 30-year-old San Francisco man has turned his facial hair into a snowman and a Christmas tree.

His beard sculptures wary from a hairy bow tie to a funnel, which can actually be used to pour beer into a glass without spilling a drop.

Webb gets design ideas from online fans, with the majority of his creations dedicated to different holidays or pop-culture trends.

Incredibeard used his facial hair to recreate the looks of Batman’s archrival, Bane, who featured in the 2012 movie, The Dark Knight Rises by Christopher Nolan.

Happy #Monbeardday everyone! I received so many requests for this design that I could no longer deny you. I call this The Bane of My Beardxistence! Thanks for the great idea and stay tuned for a video! www.incredibeard.com #beard #BaneBeard #Incredibeard

Fast food also inspires the artist as he has shaped his beard to become a soup bowl or a convenient holder for coke, burger and fries.

Webb also creates letters with his whiskers, which then form into words like “beard,” “boss” and others.

“The hardest beard design we’ve done is spelling out the world ‘beard’ in my beard. It is my favorite design, but anytime we spell words, it’s actually very difficult and unsafe for the beard due to the amount of heat and tools required to make the design. That design took about three hours to create,” Incredibeard told Lost at the e Minor website.

It's #Monbeardday! In honor of this special facial hair month, I have created this style. It is called Beardception: Beard in a Beard! Some of the artist’s more bizarre creations are represented by “the Beard Predator” and an octopus attacking Webb’s face.

The artist says his goal “is to mobilize the community of beard lovers, bring about a greater awareness of bearding and look good while doing it.”

In his interview with Mashable, Incredibeard said that he decided to grow his beard after learning of one of his ancestors, Jay Gould, “a railroad tycoon with a pretty awesome beard, and we actually look alike in many ways.”

“Maybe one day I will be able to make a few billion dollars as a beard tycoon,” he said.

Happy #Monbeardday Everyone! On @instagram and Facebook I've had many suggestions for me to do an octopus attacking my face, so here you go. :) I call this style Octopus Beard. #Incredibeard #Beard #OctopusBeard

Webb said that he’ll “never consider” shaving and confessed that he even has nightmares of losing his beard by accident.

The beard “really does feel like my child. Yes, I have a toddler on my face and I would never kill my own child,” he told the Birchbox website.

The artist believes that having a long thick beard is the only way to achieving eternal bliss.

“Show a man a beard, and he'll be happy for a day; teach a man to grow a beard and he'll be happy for a lifetime,” Webb wrote on his website.
