Toyota marks Russian Camry milestone
Japan’s biggest carmaker Toyota will start selling the first Camry sedans made in Russia on Monday. The cars will roll out of an assembly plant in Saint Petersburg.
Locally made cars will retail at more than $US 33,000.
That’s 9% lower than the price of imported Camrys.
So far the capacity of the Saint Petersburg plant stands at 20,000 cars a year, but there are plans to increase production to 200,000 in the next few years.
