Sibirtelecom posts 9M 2009 Net Profit of 1.8 billion Roubles

Sibirtelecom, the fixed line provider in Russia’s Siberia, has posted a 9M 2009 Net Profit of 1.8 billion Roubles under IFRS.

The bottom line is down by 29% from 9M 2008 Net Profit of 2.6 billion Roubles, despite 9M EBITDA rising by 5% year on year to 11.1 billion Roubles as 9M Revenues rose by 2.2% year on year to 28.5 billion Roubles.

The Company mostly attributed its better consolidated Revenues to increasing broadband subscriber numbers, which showed a 69.6% year on year increase to reach 543.5 thousand, which generated a sharp increase in internet revenues.
