Sibirtelecom posts FY 2009 net profit of 1.974 billion Roubles
Telecommunications operator, Sibirtelecom, has posted a FY 2009 net profit of 1.974 billion Roulbles under IFRS.
The bottom line is up 29.1% year on year from the FY 2008 result of 1.529 billion Roubles, with OIBDA increasing 9.3% to 14.356 billion Roubles and revenue rising 1.4% to 38.036 billion Roubles.
The company attributed the result to an increase in demand for data-transmission and telemetry services which increased 28% compared with 2008 as revenues from cellular communications services were down 1.3%.
