Boris Johnson: ‘Being mistaken for Trump is the worst’

London Mayor Boris Johnson says being mistaken for US presidential hopeful Donald Trump in New York was “one of the worst moments.”

Johnson said he is “genuinely worried” Trump could become president of the US.

He told ITV’s The Agenda program he was out walking in New York when a girl mistook him for the boisterous Republican frontrunner.

I am genuinely worried that he could become president ... I was in New York and some photographers were trying to take a picture of me and a girl walked down the pavement towards me and she stopped and said, ‘Gee, is that Trump?’”

It was one of the worst moments,” he added.

Well that girl is not alone. Twitter users have been confusing the two political figures as well.

While other social media users suggested the two men, with their foppish blonde hair, weren’t exactly leadership material.

Recent weeks have seen large protests against Trump in the US, as anti-racist groups disrupt his political rallies.

US Senator Elizabeth Warren issued a savage attack on Monday, branding the tycoon a “loser.”

The popular Democrat taunted Trump for his “failed businesses” and “flagrant narcissism.”

Many of history’s worst authoritarians started out as losers — and Trump is a serious threat,” she said.

The way I see it, it’s our job to make sure he ends this campaign every bit the loser that he started it.”
