US-led airstrikes in Syria
On April 14, the US and its allies the US and France launched over 100 missiles on civilian and military facilities in Syria, citing the alleged chemical incident on April 7 in the town of Douma as a pretext. Yet, Bashar Assad’s government denies using chemical weapons. Syrian air defense systems intercepted 71 cruise and air-to-surface missiles fired by Washington and its allies.
