Russian Tatiana Kosintseva has taken the women's European chess championship, which ended in St Petersburg on Friday.
Kosintseva defeated Armenia’s Lilit Mkrtchyan in the final to become European Champion for the second time in her career.
She first triumphed in the competition back in 2007.
In addition to a gold medal and the cup, Kosintseva gets a cash prize of 10,000 euros.
On March 18, Russian grandmaster Evgeny Tomashevsky won the men’s European championship in Montenegro.
