The Russian national beach soccer team have stylishly defended their Intercontinental Cup crown in Dubai giving Brazil no hope in the final.

The Russians beat their main rivals Brazil 7-4 on Saturday in the tournament’s decider in front of the sellout crowd and VIP guests, including football legend Diego Maradona. Mikhail Likhachev’s charges controlled the run of play throughout the whole game and conceded their first goal, when they were leading 5-0. In last year's final their supremacy was less noticeable, as they edged the South American side 5-4. Team Russia have been dominating the sport for the last three years having won all but one major tournament they were participating in, including the World Cup in 2011.
