The quiet waters of the Thames have been swirling this weekend, with the Henley Royal Regatta.

Hundreds of rowing crews from 20 countries have been racing in the event, which lasts for five days.

First held in 1839, the annual regatta is one of the oldest and largest in the world.

A delegation of esteemed Russian athletes were thrilled to have been invited to the event this year.

“Of course it is a great honor for us to be accepted here with such hospitality,” shared Aleksandr Konovalov, Russian Minister of Justice, who heads Russian delegation in London. “We can develop relationship between our two countries in a proper way thanks to such an event.”
