Russian archers have dominated the men's individual recurve standing event at the London Paralympics, occupying all three spots on the podium.

Timur Tuchinov claimed the gold medal by topping compatriot Oleg Shestakov 7-3 in the final. Another Russian, Mikhail Oyun, gave no chance to Eric Bennett of the US (6-0) in the battle for the bronze medal. The progress of the country’s Paralympic archers has been amazing during the last four years as they left Beijing 2008 without a single medal in the bag. Meanwhile, Team Russia have climbed to third spot in the overall medals count at the London Paralympics, with 14 gold, 15 silver and 10 bronze medals.
