Long jumper Margarita Goncharova and sprinter Roman Kapranov have brought Team Russia two more gold medals at the London Paralympics.
Goncharova prevailed in the women’s long jump F37/38 category, with a result of 4.85 meters.The silver went to Inna Stryzhak of Ukraine, who fell six centimeters behind, while China’s Yuanhang Cao completed the podium.Kapranov clocked 23.10 seconds to equal the world record and claim gold in the men's 200m – T37 class.Shooter Marina Klimenchenko brought Russia a silver medal in the women's P2-10m Air Pistol-SH1. Swimmer Roman Dubovoy occupied second place on the podium in the Men's 100m Butterfly – S13.There were also two bronze medals for Russia on the second day of the Paralympics. Powerlifter Vladimir Krivulya was third in the men’s -52 category, while judoka Shakhban Kurbanov won a bronze match in the men’s -73kg class. Team Russia have so far bagged four golds, three bronze and three bronze medals London, occupying fifth place in the medals count. China remain ahead of the rest at the Games, with 34 medals (13 gold, 10 silver, 11 bronze) in the bag.
