Synchronized swimmer Natalya Ischenko has brought Team Russia their second gold medal at the 2010 European Aquatics Championships in Budapest after a triumph in the solo free routine.

Ischenko’s perfect performance, which scored 98.900 points, left few chances to her main rival Andrea Fuentes of Spain, whose result was 96.600 points. It was the second career European Championship gold for the Russian.

The bronze, meanwhile, went to Lolita Ananasova from Ukraine.

Russia has so far grabbed four medals – two golds and two bronze – in Hungary.
