Synchronized swimmers Natalya Ischenko and Svetlana Romashina have claimed yet another gold medal for Russia at the 2010 European Aquatics Championships in Budapest.

On Sunday, the duo was head above their opponents to score a perfect 98.700 points record and sailed past their main rivals from Spain by more than two points.

Elsewhere, Andrea Fuentes and Ona Carbonell were too strong for Ukrainian duo Daria Yushko and Ksenia Sidorenko, beating them by more than three points – 96.700 against 93.400.

For Ischenko, it was already the third gold medal at this year’s European Championship.

All-in-all, Russian athletes have grabbed five medals – three golds and two bronze – in Hungary.
