Russian darts specialist Anastasia Dobromyslova has claimed her second career BDO World Champion’s title.

The 27-year-old was unseeded entering the event held at the famous Lakeside Country Club at Frimley Green, England.

But she never lost a set on her way to the final, defeating Julie Gore in the quarterfinals and then dealing with defending champ Trina Gulliver with the same 2-0 scoreline.

Home crowd favorite and No.1 seed Deta Hedman was the Russian’s opponent in the decider. The Englishwoman took the opener, but Dobromyslova bounced back to claim a 2-1 (2:3, 3:2, 3:0) victory.

It is the second BDO title in the Russian’s trophy cabinet, as Dobromyslova already lifted the trophy back in 2008.
