Tottenham fans were left with hearts in mouths as striker Harry Kane was forced off with suspected ankle ligament damage after a collision with Man City's Fabian Delph during their UEFA Champions League quarter final 1st leg.

As the result of a touchline tackle between the two players, Kane was forced to limp off, being seen gingerly making his way down the tunnel aided by two club officials in a game that went from bad to worse for the hosts.

It is suspected the damage is a recurrence of the ankle injury that kept Kane out of action until just last month, delivering a huge blow to Spur's challenge in the Champions League and endeavors in the Premier League as the injury could spell the end of the season for England skipper Kane.

Spurs had already survived a Sergio Aguero penalty awarded with the help of VAR that was saved by Hugo Lloris on 13 minutes. Many thought Danny Roses' outstretched arm did not divert the direction of Raheem Sterling's shot.
