Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is the most famous number 7 in world football, but the Portuguese player wasn’t the only target of one pitch invader’s affections after the UEFA Super Cup match between the Spanish giants and Manchester United on Tuesday.

A shirtless man invaded the pitch at the Philip II Arena in Skopje, Macedonia, after the final whistle of the match on Tuesday, in which Champions League winners Real claimed a 2-1 victory over Europa League champions Manchester United.

Although the pitch invader clearly wanted to share his love for the Portuguese star forward, having his name written on the lower part of his chest, together with a heart symbol, he has also had another famous name written on his back under Ronaldo’s number 7 – that of Russian President Vladimir Putin.

It’s not known if the man intended to deliver any particular political message through his stunt, or quite how he connected Ronaldo and the Russian leader, but stewards were quick to remove him from the pitch.

Last Saturday another man, on that occasion completely naked, ran down the track at the 2017 World Athletics Championships in London, just before Usain Bolt’s farewell individual race.

The streaker also had two messages on his body: ‘Peace and Love’ written on his chest and ‘Drug Free for Mom’ written on his back.
