Half time in extra time in Kazan, still goalless in the first semi-final. Fernando Santos giving orders through clasped hands around his mouth to Nani, let's see if they are the orders to victory. Second half just underway.

First half in extra time here at Kazan Arena, Portugal have already gone close with Andre Gomes, who shot high over the bar from the edge of the area. Has been all Portugal in the opening stages.

(90 mins) Normal time over in Kazan, the scores tied at 0-0, that means we'll have extra time, two halves of 15 minutes and then, I needed, penalties to decide the winner.

Amazing how nobody has found the back of the net in this game, end to end game in Kazan with emotions running as high as the tempo. Remember, if it is goalless after 90 minutes we will have extra time and the penalties if needed to decide who goes through to Sunday's final in St. Petersburg.

(83 mins) Andre Gomes has a clear chance on goal, but his shot is over the bar forth edge of the area. Prior to that the referee had already blown for a handball in the buildup.

(76 mins) Nani comes on for Andre Silva, probably a smart move, Silva was on a yellow card an had been getting riled by the Chile defense.

(72 mins) Portugal break forward again in numbers, Ronaldo shoots but the ball goes behind for a corner. Portugal finding a tight back line whenever they attack, Chile stubborn in defense.

(62 mins) Vidal fires a long shot over the bar after a sustained period of pressure from both sides. Game really hotting up here, Ronaldo playing more central than earlier on, allows for much cleaner breaks by the Portuguese.

(58 mins) Portugal break free down the other end with Ronaldo, who fires a shot towards goal but Claudio Bravo again saves. Brilliant display from both keepers so far. End to end stuff here in Kazan.

(57 mins) CHANCE! Vargas with a tremendous acrobatic effort from the Chile corner but Rui Patricio beats it away with fantastic reflexes

(51 mins) Back under way here in Kazan. Pablo Hernandez clatters into William Carvalho and receives a yellow card. The second half has lost none of the temperament of the first.

End of an entertaining first half in Kazan, both sides have had their chances, namely Vargas for Chile and then And Silva at the other end, but the goalkeepers both times were equal to the finish. Portugal captain Ronaldo has provided dangerous balls from the left, although the current world's best player hasn't been able to roam as freely as usual. Arturo Vidal for Chile has attempted to stamp his authority on the game, but has been met with resistance from first Bruno Alves and then William Carvalho who aren't letting any ground go Chile's way easily. You get the feeling both teams are eager to earn their place in the final match in St. Petersburg on Sunday, excellent tempo and pace from both sides.

(43 mins) Portugal attack again, Andres Silva rises to meet yet another Ronaldo cross, but fails in his attempt to reach it. Silva is then booked for remonstrating with the referee.

(30 mins) Aranguiz slices a shot wide for Chile from a tight angle on the right hand side of the area. Chile turning the Portuguese tide a little. Moments later William Carvalho comes in late on Vidal, sending a message to the Chilean midfield general that he may not be able to get away with tough play all game.

(28 mins) Isla plays a fast ball over to Aranguiz from the right, who meets it with his head in the Portugal area but his header fizzes over the bar.

(22 mins) Cristiano Ronaldo breaks free on a Portugal counter attack and lays it off to Adrien Silva who lofts a pass not the area which just misses the head of Andre Gomes. Portugal resume usual business.

(23 mins) Gonzalo Jara receives the game's first yellow card.

(17 mins) Chile enjoy a period of respite as the Portuguese pressure ceases just enough for them to have a chance on goal as Jean Beausejour hits a long shot wide after an cleared.

Cristiano Ronaldo is providing his expected threat from the left flank. the Portugal captain has floated in already several dangerous balls into the box. None have yet found the head of the teammate.

The temperament in this game is matching the action. Arturo Vidal and Bruno Alves clash in the Portugal area. Chile midfield general Vidal apparently throwing an arm in the direction of Gomes, who made a tackle on Vargas that upset him teammate.

(7 mins) What a ball from Ronaldo who plays it across the Chile area to Andre Silva at the back post, but Claudio Bravo equals Rui Patricio's heroics at the other end moments ago.

(6 mins) Chance! Sanchez plays a great pass through to Vargas, maybe a question of off side, but Rui Patricio spreads himself and manages to save it.
