Greco-Roman wrestler Chakvetadze wins 10th gold for Russian in Rio

Russian Greco-Roman wrestler, Davit Chakvetadze, has brought his country’s Olympic squad its 10th gold medal at the Rio Games.

Chakvetadze defeated Ukrainian rival Zhan Beleniuk in the men’s 85kg final in the Carioca 2 Arena.

The Russian trailed 0-2 after the first round, but scored nine points in the second round to bag a confident win.

The bronze medal in the event went to Denis Maksymilian Kudla of Germany, who beat Hungary’s Viktor Lorincz.
