Suppressing an issue in the hope that it will go away by itself is a common strategy for dealing with challenging and unpleasant realities. Sometimes, it works, but clearly not in the case of Israel and Palestine. The decades-long procrastination in terms of addressing the problem in an authentic and meaningful way has led to such an accumulation of rage and hatred that the status quo can no longer be contained. Is there still a peaceful way out? To discuss this, Oksana is joined by Amal Abou Zeid, a former member of the Lebanese parliament, an adviser to former Lebanese president Michel Aoun, and an expert of the Valdai Discussion Club.
