Mean about town? Michal Murawski, anthropologist of architecture at UCL

Karl Marx famously claimed that it's the being that determines consciousness rather than vice versa – a maxim that Russian city planners have recently taken to heart with much greater eagerness than their Soviet predecessors. As the wave of urban make-overs moves across the country, will they change the way the Russians live and how they think?
