Coalition by attrition? Kurt Biedenkopf, former prime minister of Saxony

After marathon coalition negotiations, Germany’s two largest parties have provisionally agreed on a compromise that may yet be scuppered in a forthcoming vote by the SPD’s rank-and-file. Are these difficulties in forming a government merely birthing pangs, or a sign of something major going awry in German politics? To discuss this, Oksana is joined by Kurt Biedenkopf, a veteran German politician and former prime minister of Saxony.
