​No-clear deal? Ft. Abbas Milani, Director of Iranian Studies, Stanford University

The provisional deal on Iran’s nuclear program has been heralded as a tremendous success for international diplomacy. And while it may have broken the deadlock in negotiations, many political forces in the US and the Middle East remain staunchly opposed. Will the deal lead to a thaw in relations between Washington and Tehran, and what are the geopolitical implications for the region?
