They say how a nation treats the lowliest and poorest members of its society tells you everything you need to know about the heart of a country. So, how does the United States treat one of its lowest classes of people, the incarcerated? On this episode of The Whistleblowers, John Kiriakou looks at something very near and dear to his heart: prison reform. Or more accurately, the damning lack of prison reform. John discusses recent work of his on Substack detailing the horrifying conditions some federal prisoners face in the United States and how promises of reform have been delayed and ignored. Paul Wright, founder and Executive Director of the Human Rights Defense Center joins us for a deeper analysis.
