In a lightning nighttime raid, US special forces sped into Caracas amid overwhelming fire power, assaulted the presidential palace, and managed to extract President Nicolas Maduro without suffering a single casualty. It all seemed so unreal. But the consequences may not be so unreal as the US now faces an unstable situation in Venezuela and the prospects of a damaged reputation throughout Latin America.
