Pride month: What it is and what it isn’t

President Biden recognized June as Pride Month in a proclamation on Tuesday, while pushing for LGBTQ equality and calling out some states for targeting trans youth in “discriminatory bills.” 

Naomi Osaka pulled out of the French Open – after several days of escalating narratives about her initial announcement that she wouldn’t fulfill media obligations and a stern response from the Grand Slam tournament’s organizers – she revealed that she has suffered bouts of depression since winning the 2018 US Open. 

Crews have started to remove the remains of Confederate General Nathan Bedford Forrest and his wife from a Memphis park where a monument of him once stood.
