Multiculturalism failed, spells end of European culture, we need assimilation - German politician

The incident in Cologne, where migrant crowds have reportedly raped and harassed dozens of women, has fueled the debate over European hospitality; more and more voices can be heard calling for the closure of borders for those who are felling the war in Syria. At the epicenter of accusations is German Chancellor Angela Merkel, who was behind the drive to let thousands of refugees inside the EU. But whose fault is it that attempts to help were answered with crime? Are police unable to provide security when thousands of people with a different culture are pouring into European cities and nations? Does Europe as we know it have a future?
