‘Israel has become radioactive. I think Iran has started behaving the same way. Choosing to be a bully never works’ – Alanoud Al Thani, Qatari political analyst and researcher.

In this episode of RT’s ‘Sanchez Effect’ Rick talks to Alanoud Al Thani, a Qatari political analyst and nonresident fellow at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs.

She explains Israel’s destructive role in the region as it attacks local nations such as Lebanon, Syria, the Palestinian Authority, and even Qatar. Al Thani says that Israel’s behavior is getting out of control, even for its allies. At the same time, she condemns Iranian attacks on the Gulf States, saying that US and Israeli aggression do not justify Tehran’s actions.

In this episode, Al Thani discusses whether American bases in the region pose a threat to Iran, as well as a looming oil crisis if the Strait of Hormuz is not opened.
