Mushahid Hussain Syed: The US betrayed its Arab friends and allies. Ali Al-Hail: Netanyahu desperately wants to drag the Gulf States into this. But this is not our war.

In this episode of RT’s Sanchez Effect, we keep monitoring the crisis in the Middle East. Direct from Beirut, RT’s Steve Sweeney brings Rick the latest on what he called signs of an imminent invasion. Harsh bombing and direct strikes from tanks – that’s what people in Lebanon now face on a daily basis. On the major US-Israeli campaign against Iran, Rick gathers a panel, bringing together Mushahid Hussain Syed, former Pakistani Minister of Information and Senator, and Dr. Ali Al-Hail, a professor of mass communication at Qatar University. Both analysts agree on two things. First, the US has betrayed its allies to focus on the protection of Israel. Second, that it is not a war of the US and the Persian Gulf countries but a war of Benjamin Netanyahu who wants to drag every regional power into the conflict to weaken them. Professor Ali Al-Hail even says ‘We have doubts about the bombing of ARAMCO.’ Syed agrees that this would be out of the usual Israeli playbook. He says ‘Israeli occupied territory is not the West Bank and Gaza alone. It is also the US Congress and the Washington establishment.’ All this and more – on RT International.
