White House cuts aid to Egypt over human rights violations

The Trump administration has announced that Egypt could see an enormous reduction in US military and economic aid. Nevertheless, President Donald Trump's senior advisor Jared Kushner met with Egypt’s President al-Sisi just hours after the announcement to discuss prospects for peace in the Middle East. 'Not a single bullet shot by YPG into Turkish borders' - analyst

Secretary of Defense James Mattis met with Turkish President Recap Erdogan on Wednesday, pledging to support Turkey against the Kurdistan Workers Party (PKK). Turkey has criticized US arming of YPG in Syria, alleging a link between the two Kurdish organizations. But they are completely separate organizations, according to Burak Aydin, director of outreach for the Kurdish Policy Research Center, who joins RT America’s Manila Chan to dispel popular myths about the Kurds’ role in the Middle East.
