Iraqi forces are advancing on western Mosul, taking the airport from ISIS. US troops backing them were sent by the Obama administration to “advise and assist” only. Recent statements from a US coalition spokesperson cast shade on that premise, however. RT’s Gayane Chichakyan reports.
