Protests in Chicago after police release Laquan McDonald shooting footage
The second night of protests in Chicago saw five arrests and four police officers sustaining minor injuries. Over 1,000 demonstrators gathered in New York City for a solidarity protest in downtown Manhattan. Multiple violent arrests were reported in New York. RT’s Manuel Rapalo has the details.
Three arrests as Minneapolis police probe shooting of five Black Lives Matter demonstrators
Shots were fired two nights in a row at Minneapolis demonstrators who were protesting the police killing of 25-year-old Jamar Clark. No one was injured in the second incident, but five protesters were wounded the night prior. RT’s Anya Parampil reports.
Survivor of the Russian Su-24 shot down by Turkey speaks out
Turkey claims that the Russian jet was in its airspace for 17 seconds, but the navigator who survived the attack says that his Su-24 never crossed into Turkey. He tells RT that the Su-24 never heard a warning from Turkey to change course before being shot out of the sky.
