Malcolm X famously stated that “If you're not careful, the newspapers will have you hating the people who are being oppressed, and loving the people who are doing the oppressing.”
But as our relationship with the press changes is this dynamic still possible? We ask are we wiser to media manipulation, or complicit in it?
