Attica prison uprising with Heather Ann Thompson

On this week’s episode of On Contact, Chris Hedges sits down with Professor Heather Ann Thompson to discuss the findings in her new book, Blood in the Water: The Attica Prison Uprising of 1971 and its Legacy. They explore why the rebellion that left 29 prisoners and nine hostages dead has not led to the substantial reforms the prisoners wanted. RT Correspondent Anya Parampil explores the conditions in America’s prison system today.
