NATO members commit to raise their defence spending to 5-percent GDP, over a perceived threat from Russia, despite Moscow's assurances it has no fights to pick with the Alliance. That's as anti-NATO protests erupt outside the alliance's summit, as a former Italian leader calls for high-level opposition to the military bloc, saying the defence spending hike will cause massive harm to member states. One person is reportedly dead and 17 hospitalised as Kenyan police deploy tear gas on protesters marking the anniversary of a bloody anti-government demonstration.
