The Palestinian Health Ministry announces 198 Gazans are killed and more than 16-hundred injured during Israeli air raids on the territory, as Israel targets Hamas locations. Benjamin Netanyahu declares Israel is in a state of war, after Hamas earlier unleashed a major attack on the Jewish state. According to the country's Health Ministry, at least 40 Israelis have been killed. International reactions to the events vary greatly, with Moscow advocating for a diplomatic resolution while Middle Eastern and Western views diverge wildly. NATO has its sights set on what it refers to as its, quote, "southern neighborhood" – specifically the Middle East, North Africa and the Sahel region. We discuss the issue with a panel of guests.
