The EU pours another 500 millions euros into Kiev's army, despite struggling to fix its own budget amid the economic backlash of its sanctions against Russia. The US wants a price cap on Russian oil supplies, as Washington looks to declare a climate emergency, which could further cut supplies of the commodity and drive up costs around the world. Ukrainian troops have resumed intense shelling of the Lugansk Republic, in a desperate attempt to reclaim the territory that Kiev's army recently lost to Russian-led forces.
