People in Belarus take to the streets, some to support their president, others telling him to go. And within the anti-Lukashenko crowd, there's discord over the use of the EU flag.  The EU announces sanctions in relation to the election situation in Belarus. This comes as the bloc calls upon other states not to interfere in the country's internal business. Russia's foreign minister warns against any external meddling in the Belarus crisis after Lukashenko raises his concerns over European interference, in a phonecall with President Putin. The US Democrats formally nominate Joe Biden as their runner in 2020. But as the party touts campaign promises of peace, Biden's hawkish past could come back to haunt him. And, a military uprising in Mali sweeps the president from power – threatening to plunge the country deeper into chaos.
