Tear gas and violence mark the fifth consecutive weekend of 'Yellow Vest' protests in Paris which come after a terror attack in Strasbourg. Four were killed and a dozen injured - as a gunman opened fire at visitors of a Christmas market. The suspect was later killed by police. Activists in Britain could face life imprisonment on terror charges - after blocking a flight deporting failed asylum-seekers. Some are calling the authorities' response 'an unprecedented crackdown on the right to protest'.
