Tensions boiling as China expels US warship (Full show)

China claims that it expelled a US Navy ship called the USS Barry from its “territorial waters” in the South China Sea on Tuesday and went on to condemn Washington’s “provocative acts.” The US, who does not recognize China’s claim to the area, defended the USS Barry’s “freedom of navigation” operation went according to plan and sent the USS Bunker Hill through the contested waters on the following day. Rick Sanchez provides context for the incident before RT America’s Michele Greenstein reports the details. Then UK MP George Galloway shares his insights. Captain Mark Weiss, former pilot for American Airlines, joins to discuss the Pentagon’s recent release of videos showing what it refers to as UAPs (unidentified aerial phenomena). Syndicated columnist Ruben Navarrette weighs in YouTube’s controversial removal of a news conference that it believes constituted misinformation about the novel coronavirus pandemic. Plus, RT America’s Steve Christakos joins to discuss NFL’s switch turn from cable television toward a digital platform, as well as hope for a salvaged NBA season.
