Can you spot the uprising?

Rick Sanchez reports on the May Day riot in Paris wherein Yellow Vest protesters and black bloc agitators threw rocks, set fires and destroyed vehicles and property in an action some termed “Armageddon.” Police responded with rubber bullets, tear gas and flash grenades and arrested more than 200 protestors.

Maduro to Pompeo: ‘Are you serious?’

Venezuela saw limited clashes between protesters and police and counterdemonstrations in support of the Maduro government in the wake of Tuesday’s attempted “uprising.” President Maduro’s May Day address drew thousands as Guaido renewed his calls for upheaval. US State Secretary Mike Pompeo insists that President Maduro intended to flee Venezuela Tuesday morning but that Russia stepped in and convinced him to stay. Russia’s foreign ministry refutes the claim and calls it part of an ongoing “information war.” RT America’s John Huddy joins Rick Sanchez with the details.

Embassy standoff: Police hold off Guaido supporters

RT America’s Dan Cohen reports on site for the News with Rick Sanchez on the continuing face-off between pro-Maduro and pro-Guaido activists in Washington, DC who continue their shouting match outside the Venezuelan embassy. Opposition leader Juan Guaido’s would-be ambassador to the US Carlos Vecchio arrived with his entourage but the Embassy Protection Collective refused him access. Evicting the pro-Maduro activists from the embassy would violate both DC and international law.
