Global impact of US withdrawal from Iran Deal
President Donald Trump’s decision to withdraw the United States from the JCPOA, known as the Iran nuclear deal, is having ripple effects already being felt around the world. Israel began bombing a military base south of Damascus, reportedly killing 8 Iranians. US allies have released a joint statement making clear their commitment to the JCPOA. Former CIA Agent: Gina Haspel Should Not Head CIA
President Donald Trump’s nominee for CIA director Gina Haspel spoke before the Senate Intelligence Committee Wednesday. Among those cleared from the room prior to the hearing were CODEPINK founder Medea Benjamin and former CIA analyst turned antiwar activist Ray McGovern. Haspel oversaw torture programs and operation of a “black site” operation in Thailand where detainees were subjected to waterboarding. RT America’s Dan Cohen has more.
NY AG: Stunning abuse allegations surface
Former New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman abruptly resigned after four women came forward saying the politician physically abused them on multiple occasions.
