Nuclear negligence: Largest nuclear waste storage site in US is leaking 
Thousands of gallons of radioactive waste are estimated to have leaked at a Manhattan Project-era nuclear storage tank in Washington State, triggering an alarm and causing a former worker to label it as “catastrophic." The leak comes as 20 workers were sent for medical evaluations after inhaling chemical vapors in the vicinity of the leaking nuclear waste tank, which was being transferred. Teacher Appreciation Week kicked-off with a ‘sick out,’ as more than 90 Detroit schools were forced to shutter when evidently unappreciated educators protested the city’s refusal to pay them for work they’ve done, resulting in 45,000 students missing school.
