Phase one of the trade deal between China and the United States will be signed this week. Former USTR official under Bush & Clinton, Steve Gill, and CEO of Transformity Research, Tobin Smith, discuss if the tension between the two world's largest economies are over in the 360 economic panel. Steve Gill reassures that President Trump's tough stance has helped the trade deficit with China. Meanwhile, Tobin Smith thinks it is unrealistic to have a fair trade with China when the country wants to import less and export more.

Since March, Boeing's 737 Max airplanes have been grounded and it has cost the US gross domestic product to grow a half a percentage less than expected. While Boeing’s problems could slow U.S. economic growth to 2.5%, the FAA also announced new fines against Boeing last week for $5.4 million over allegations that it wrongly told the agency that defective wing parts were safe to use on its 737 Max jets.
