How can gun control and immigration overlap

In the aftermath of the mass shooting in El Paso, Texas and Dayton, Ohio President Donald Trump suggested new control measures could be lumped with new immigration laws. Although the shooter in Texas is accused of having Hispanic bias very few believe gun control and immigration are related issues. Former US Congressman Tom Tancredo joins News.Views.Hughes to discuss the issue and if rhetoric from the President factored into the recent violence.

Five years after Michael Brown’s shooting death at the hands of police in Ferguson, Missouri residents of the city say very little has changed.  Civil rights lawyer and radio host Robert Patillo and Chris Neiweem, founder of the Neiweem Group join Scottie Nell Hughes to discuss what if anything has changed in the five years since the shooting and what role politics has played in increased violence across the country.
